Shattered Shakespeare

Shattering 400 years of classic theater in 25 minutes or less!

"Phil" Shakespeare graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Suffering University, majoring in Post-Mortem Literature. At age 19, he attended the Little Rascal School of Acting, where he perfected his skills by performing the roles of "Man with Hat #3" and "Guard #6". Soon after, Phil joined the Cuckoo's Nest Theatre, where he worked as a janitor, scene painter and the guy who scrapes the gum from under the seats, for several seasons. Finally, after winning a position as "hired player" in a game of cards, he went on to earn very little fame in roles such as "Bum #4" and "Prisoner #3". He lives in a cave, outside London with his pet pig.

"Bill" Shakespeare's lifelong goal was to ride on the coatails of his brother William. However, this was not to be so. He was expelled from Oxford University and was denied admission to most of the major schools in England. He was accepted at a small university in France, but failed to show up, due to a previous engagement with his tailor. Most of his acting experience comes from illegally impersonating public officials, including mayors, clergy, tax collectors and a two year stint as King Henry VIII. He is a member of "The Admiral's Men" acting company and the National Rifle Association.

In a classic display of over-acting, clowning and buffoonery, Vincent Magic Productions is proud to present "Shattered Shakespeare". Frequently referring to their older and more famous playwright brother William as a "hack", Bill and Phil Shakespeare attempt to perform the works of the "Bard", in twenty-five minutes or less. Relying on their quick wits, under-developed social graces and lack of any kind of morals, these two "brothers from another mother", dig deep into the imagination and come up with serious comedy that is sure to entertain. Performing works such as "Romeo & Juliet", "Macbeth" and "Green Eggs & Hamlet", Shattered Shakespeare will delight your audiences with condensed story / BIG on comedy, slapstick entertainment.
